     - supervision of the gas-chromatographic laboratory
     - measurements of CFCs at sea and analysis of the respective data
     - development of a CFC sampler that can be deployed as part
       of a mooring to measure year-round CFC samples
     - development of a sea-going system to measure SF6
       in seawater samples
     - preparation of scientific cruises
